Based on the initial comprehensive examination by individual members of the rehabilitation team, the functional condition of the patient is evaluated, the goal of therapy and its form, ie outpatient therapy or hospital, are determined.
The day hospital of the clinic is intended for adult patients with movement disorders, cognitive and fatal functions. These are most often the consequences of strokes and brain injuries. The program is ideal as an intermediate stage between inpatient rehabilitation and return to the home environment. It is usually designed as 4 weeks of intensive therapy with different proportions of individual and group activities according to the patient's functional condition. The program includes physiotherapy and occupational therapy using various methodologies, training in everyday personal activities (dressing, personal hygiene, etc.) and instrumental (eg cooking, shopping), speech therapy, cognitive rehabilitation, psychotherapy, relaxation techniques, special pedagogical reeducation, neurological music therapy and social counseling. At the end of the day hospital, a follow-up short-term and long-term rehabilitation plan is recommended at the rehabilitation conference with the participation of the patient and the family.
We participate in the treatment of spasticity, including the application of botulinum toxin, in cooperation with the Department of Neurology of the General Hospital.
Methodologies used: Bobath concept, Guided Self-Rehabilitation Contract (GSC), Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy (CIMT), Proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), Vojta's reflex locomotion method, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), sensorimotor stimulation, McKenzie method of Mechanical Diagnostics and Therapy ( MDT), Affolter method, spiral dynamics, PANat concept, basal stimulation, neurodynamics, fascial manipulation, orofacial stimulation, functional electrical stimulation, exercise using biological feedback and more.
