More than 1.5 billion for VFN!
The Ministry of Health approved the registration of a strategic investment in the General University Hospital in Prague in the amount of over CZK 1.5 billion for the construction of a new associated building on the site of the original A7 building. The aim is to build a modern multipavilion, which will accommodate selected areas of emergency care, transfusion departments and laboratory workplaces. This is the seventh completed strategic investment of the Ministry of Health for the period 2019-2027.
"A general teaching hospital is in great need of investment. Pavilion A7 is in unsatisfactory condition and its reconstruction is absolutely necessary. A new multi-pavilion will be created here, which will combine the fields of emergency care, the transfusion department and also the laboratory workplace in one building. This will greatly simplify the organization of patient care and facilitate the work of healthcare professionals who have previously had to move from pavilion to pavilion. This is the seventh completed strategic investment in the last four years. In total, we distributed 12 billion crowns to the backbone hospitals in this way, " explains the importance of the investment Minister of Health Adam Vojtech.
The new facility will be located in close proximity to the surgical and anesthesiology clinic and, together with the equipment of these clinics, will provide facilities for the performance of central emergency services to patients. "The goal of the general development of the hospital is primarily timelessness. All planned steps and investments should be functional and logical. Given that the facility offering state-of-the-art medicine was last built in 1976, modernization is really necessary. ” said the director of VFN prof. MUDr. David Feltl, Ph.D., MBA.
