On the second Friday of March, Prague's Žofín Palace hosted the finals of the 13th year of the prestigious nationwide competition Sister Sympathy. The evaluation criterion was a deep relationship with the nursing profession, the profession, but also personal charm. According to the organizers, the competition is primarily about inner beauty, good heart and personality charm. The winners of the eleven finalists of the competition were chosen by a professional jury composed of the best of Czech medicine and other leading personalities.
The first place went to our nurse from the Clinic of Gynecology, Obstetrics and Neonatology (maternity at Apolinář) Miluše Plecerová, who works as a lactation consultant in the neonatology department. At the same time, our favorite also took home the title of Sympathy Sister of the 11th year of the representative ball Sisters to the Hall!. Congratulations!
Michaela Sedláčková from the dermatovenerology department of the EUC Clinic in Ústí nad Labem came in second place, Bára Gilarová from the hemato-oncology department of the Olomouc National University Hospital was third.
The final of the competition was part of the traditional representative ball Sisters in the hall!, which was held this year for the twelfth time as a thank you to nurses and other healthcare workers for their demanding and meritorious work. The event, organized by the We Make Media agency in cooperation with the Czech Association of Nurses, was sponsored by the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic and the City Hall of the Capital City of Prague.
