VFN's unique research finds out how to minimize risks in pregnancy and prevent premature birth. The key to success is immunity.
The opening of a preconception counseling center for women with repeated pregnancy losses, many years of precise care for women with high-risk pregnancies, mapping of disorders of innate and acquired immunity, as well as cooperation with reproductive immunologists - these are the main pillars of comprehensive care for pregnant women, which led gynecologists and obstetricians from VFN to systematic research risk of premature birth. The pilot data of the currently ongoing study show that the process of premature birth is very likely to start already at the beginning of pregnancy, is closely related to the woman's immunity and is hidden from the outside. Experts from the Clinic of Gynecology, Obstetrics and Neonatology of the 1st Faculty of Medicine, UK and VFN are able to detect risky changes, monitor them, introduce targeted treatment in time and increase the chance of delivering a healthy baby even for women who have already failed several times. The neonatologists from VFN are doing well, in accordance with the implementation of the concept of zero separation in the care of premature babies, they are gradually introducing bonding already for newborns born at 28 weeks of pregnancy! Even women who give birth prematurely do not have to be deprived of close contact with a severely immature baby right from the first moments in the delivery room.
