Quality in VFN
VFN quality monitoring
Established quality assessment systems are a tool for maintaining and improving the quality and safety of health services provided. Recommendations for its introduction at national level were given by the Council of Europe in 1997.
The assessment of the quality and safety of health services is enshrined in Act No. 372/2011 Coll., On health services and the conditions for their provision. According to this law, the health service provider is obliged to implement an internal quality and safety assessment system. Within the VFN, this is accomplished through internal quality audits, which are ensured and coordinated by the Quality Department.
The General University Hospital in Prague has introduced QMS (Quality Management System) in accordance with national accreditation standards, and systems according to ISO 9001, 15189, 17025 are implemented.
