The Dermatovenerology Clinic of the General Teaching Hospital and the First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University, the oldest workplace of its kind in the Czech Lands, provides comprehensive services to patients in the range of skin and sexual diseases. In particular, our specialized centers focusing on skin cancer, psoriasis treatment, wound healing, dermatomycology and sexually transmitted diseases are achieving top results. In addition to basic, preventive and specialized medical care, the clinic also provides regular super-consulting and consulting services for all other dermatological workplaces throughout the country.
The Department of Dermatovenerology disposes of a ward for surgical and oncological treatment of patients with skin cancer, and the bed capacity also serves for the treatment of adults with severe skin diseases and for the treatment of patients with sexually transmitted infections. It has specialized laboratories for histopathology of skin diseases (NASKL accreditation) and laboratories for microbiological diagnosis of fungal diseases.
