Project brief:

The project is supported by CEF TELECOM 2018's Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) - a trans-European telecommunications network managed by the Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA).

The VFN participates in the project as the sole co-beneficiary, the principal investigator in the Czech Republic is prof. MUDr. Pavla Dolezalova, CSc. from the Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine. The project coordinator is Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NUTH), UK.

The aim of the project is to coordinate the medical, organizational and technical aspects of the project of international virtual consultation of patients with rare diseases in the ERN RITA spectrum. The project will fund the creation and annual operation of the helpdesk for the optimal setup of ERN Collaborative Platform (ECP) and Clinical Patient Management System (CPMS). Helpdesk staff will be available for the entire ERN RITA membership base (currently 24 partners from 10 EU Member States).
