After several years of VFN practice, Veronika Toninger started working as an ostomy nurse, whose job is to make patients pre-operative, take care of them after surgery, and help them choose tailor-made tools when they are released home. The aids are also used in the ambulance. "Every patient is different, every complication is different, and not every device or procedure fits everyone," she says.
