On Monday, August 1, the campaign of the components of the integrated rescue system (IZS) "OUR BLOOD IS CIRCULATING TO YOU TOO" supporting blood donation. The joint action of police officers, firefighters and rescuers calls for help to Prague hospitals, which are struggling with a long-term shortage of blood supplies. In addition, the members of the IZS decided to involve the public as well. It goes without saying that VFN will be there!

You can donate blood not only here at the VFN Faculty Transfusion Department, but also at the Central Military Hospital, the Royal Vinohrady Faculty Hospital or the Thomayer Faculty Hospital.

"The project brought together people who save human lives every day. The combination of paramedics, police officers, firefighters and rescuers is on the one hand understandable, and on the other unique. They participate daily in saving human lives on the so-called front line, and now they will be part of the help from the other side. Every donation is a unique act of solidarity with others, and I'm glad that rescue workers, police officers and firefighters see it the same way." emphasized prof. MD David Feltl, director of VFN Prague.

The challenge consists of a challenge between the IZS components and the public. The transfusion stations will send the totals of the donors to the e-mail of the police every week, and the data will then appear in the system. Thanks to them, the fictitious containers of IZS x public blood that you will find will be filled here.
