Today we officially started the operation of the new Café of Life in the premises of the hematology department of the 1st internal clinic in the Faculty Polyclinic on Charles Square.

In the morning, volunteers will offer outpatient coffee or tea for outpatients and their families in the Café of Life.

The project of establishing a café was created in cooperation with Pavel Novotný Endowment Fund, which provides psychosocial support to cancer patients, support for day hospitals and medical facilities. The opening was attended by the Deputy Minister for Non-Medical Health Professions Mgr. Dita Svobodová, Mayor of Prague 2 Ing. Alexandra Udženija, founder of the endowment fund Ing. Pavel Novotný and the head of the 1st internal clinic MUDr. Jan Kořen.

We believe that the offer of coffee and small snacks will make patients often wait a long time for treatment, and we wish the café good luck!
