In connection with the termination of a pandemic alert, of which decided by the Chamber of Deputies on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, all existing emergency measures of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic will be canceled from May 5.

As of 5 May, the obligation to wear respiratory protection also ends in medical facilities (incl. Pharmacies) and social services facilities.

At the same time, the right to one preventive PCR test per month expires free of charge. You can still only take a diagnostic PCR test for free if your doctor assesses your condition and issues a request to you. Anyone can be tested as a self-payer.
