On Wednesday, February 21, 2024, a practice evacuation took place at the Neurological Clinic of the 1st Faculty of Medicine of the UK and VFN in cooperation with the 1st Faculty of Medicine of the UK. Within 17 minutes, a practice evacuation of 13 patients on beds, of which 5 were connected to devices, was successfully carried out. Transport mats, transport chairs, stretchers and one bariatric mat were used to move patients and mannequins. The relocation was complicated by smoke in the corridors, which the HMP Fire and Rescue Department used to demonstrate a defect in the electrical switchboard.

The safety event follows on from regular exercises, through which we gradually check the readiness of individual sections for unexpected events. As always, the coordination and management of the evacuation was under the thumb of our Security and Crisis Preparedness Department.
