On the occasion of World Multiple Sclerosis Day (May 30), we have traditionally planted sunflowers in Kateřinská zahrada. An awareness project called Let's Light Up the Czech Republic was organized by the IMPULS Endowment Fund in cooperation with the General Hospital, the local neurological clinic and the RS Center, and the 1st Medical Faculty of Charles University to support patients with multiple sclerosis. The aim of the event is to spread awareness about this autoimmune disease, which affects the central nervous system, to improve the availability of treatment and rehabilitation care for patients. The sunflower was planted by the VFN deputy for non-medical medical professions Mgr. Dita Svobodová, Ph.D., MHA and neurologist prof. MUDr. Eva Kubala Havrdova, CSc. The chairwoman of the board of directors of the Impuls Endowment Fund, Ing. Kateřina Bémová, many patients and their relatives.
