New hope not only for patients with liver tumors
The General Teaching Hospital in Prague in cooperation with the Institute of Clinical and Experimental Medicine (IKEM) is launching a new oncological treatment program. Thus, patients with primary liver tumors are more likely to recover. Connecting two top Czech centers will create a specialized team that can tailor treatment. Thus, patients with primary liver cancer can either be enrolled in the IKEM transplantation program or receive direct treatment based on the molecular (gene) characteristics of the tumor and the patient's gene equipment at the Comprehensive Cancer Center of the General Teaching Hospital.
