The General University Hospital will be led by David Feltl
Health Minister Adam Vojtech appointed David Feltl as new director of the General Teaching Hospital. Today, the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic informed about this in a press release. The Minister decided on the basis of a majority recommendation of a selection committee composed of 21 representatives of professional societies, professional chambers, educational institutions, trade unions, the Ministry of Health and hospitals. David Feltl heads the hospital on February 18, 2019.
Prof. MUDr. David Feltl, Ph.D., MBA, (1970) has been working since 2017 until now at the head of the Oncology Center of the General Teaching Hospital. In the period 2014–2016 he was the director of the University Hospital Ostrava. He also served as Deputy Director of Strategy and Head of the Oncology Clinic at the same hospital. Previously, he worked as head of radiotherapy at the Královské Vinohrady Faculty Hospital and a secondary doctor at Na Bulovce Hospital. David Feltl graduated from the First Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Prague. He received an MBA from The Nottingham Trent University in 2009. In 2018 he became a professor in oncology.
