Project brief:

The aim of the project is the computerization and standardization of VFN processes in the area of providing health services, as a necessary condition for the exchange and sharing of data and medical documentation within VFN and ensuring the exchange or sharing of medical documentation within eHealth systems/affinity domains and NCPeH, and the implementation of subject identifiers according to the Act on the Electronicization of Healthcare and Related Processes.

The subject of the project is the modernization and expansion of the functionalities of the hospital information systems of the VFN in the area of computerization of processes for maintaining standardized structured electronic medical documentation, data processing and computerization of processes for providing health services, etc., new functions related to interoperability, i.e. standardized exchange and sharing, and implementation of interoperability through connection to NCPeH and eHealth systems/affinity domains via standardized interfaces (connectors), further integration with public administration and electronic healthcare systems, and making standardized medical documentation available to internal healthcare professionals within the VFN IS and to patients and external healthcare professionals within the VFN patient portal.

The project budget is a total of CZK 33,955,625, of which CZK 28,000,000 will be financed through the National Recovery Plan and CZK 5,955,625 from the General Hospital in Prague's own resources.

The project is co-financed by the European Union from the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) through the National Recovery Plan of the Czech Republic from Call No. 22 (Reform 2: eHealth services; Milestone/goal: Connecting healthcare providers into an interoperability ecosystem according to the Interoperability rules for eHealth services).
