Project brief:
The main goal of the project is to increase the quality of post-natal care for premature babies. The purpose is to diagnose and follow up the therapeutic approach to improving their quality of life. This is related to the purchase of new specialized equipment and the introduction of new diagnostic methods. The project is implemented in partnership with Haukeland University Hospital in Norway.
Project activities include, in particular, medical research, evaluation of research results, and design of therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. The project also includes complementary educational activities, including exchange of experience with a Norwegian partner. Medical research is focused on a comprehensive evaluation of premature babies with a focus on lung, gastrointestinal, neurological and subsequently rehabilitation issues. All activities are interrelated, closely related to the implementation of the project “Center for the Comprehensive Care for Children with Perinatal Burdens” financed from the Norwegian Financial Mechanism, the VFN's own resources in Prague and the budget of the Ministry of Health.
90% of the total budget will be covered by the Research Fund of the EEA / Norway Financial Mechanism.
