Project brief:

The General University Hospital in Prague received almost CZK 65 million for the implementation of the project under the 1st call of the Integrated Operational Program - Intervention area 3.2 - Public Health Services “Modernization and renewal of the device. Equipment Spec. of the Departments of the Comprehensive Cancer Group of the General Teaching Hospital in Prague “, reg. no. CZ.1.06 / 3.2.01 / 01.00074. The aim of the project is to renew and modernize medical devices and their accessories to ensure the standard of health care for cancer patients.

The following devices will be purchased from the project funds:

• brachytherapy device
• C-arm X-ray machine
• CT simulator
• magnetic resonance scanner 1.5 T.

The implementation of the project will have a positive impact on maintaining and improving the quality of care for cancer patients treated at the General Teaching Hospital in Prague and will increase the efficiency of healthcare provision through the technologies used. The project is a direct and unambiguous contribution to the modernization of existing infrastructure serving directly and solely to the health of the population, while early diagnosis and effective treatment of cancer is a clear benefit to the health and quality of life of patients.
