Project brief:
In October 2017, the General Teaching Hospital in Prague launched the project "Modernization of the Center of Highly Specialized Health Care in Oncogynecology at the General Teaching Hospital in Prague", registration number CZ.06.2.56 / 0.0 / 0.0 / 15_006 / 0005159. The project is co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund and was supported under the 5th call Integrated Regional Operational Program, Investment Priority: 06.2.56 Investing in health and social infrastructure contributing to national, regional and local development, reducing health inequalities, promoting social inclusion through improved access to social, cultural and recreational services and the transition from institutional community services.
Total maximum amount of European Regional Development Fund for project implementation: CZK 44,969,999.25, which is 74.95% of total eligible public expenditure. Total maximum amount of state budget funds earmarked for project implementation: CZK 7,937,999.86, which is 13.23% of total eligible public expenditure.
The main objective of the project is to modernize and renew the instrumentation of the Center of Highly Specialized Health Care in the Oncogynecology of the General Teaching Hospital in Prague. Equipment purchased corresponds to the List of recommended equipment of centers of highly specialized health care in oncogynecology according to the Bulletin of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic. The purchase of equipment is absolutely necessary to maintain the high standards of oncogynecological care provided, which includes the following components:
- Center for Cancer Prevention
- Oncology clinic
- Outpatient oncological care center
- Mamologická ambulance
- Genetic clinic
- Bed oncogynecological department
- Operating theaters
- Intensive Care Unit
- Expert sonography department
Acquisition of instruments will significantly increase the quality of highly specialized diagnostic and therapeutic care for patients with malignant gynecological tumors (malignant tumors of the breast, vulva, vagina, cervix, uterine, ovary, tube and peritoneum, gestational trophoblastic disease).
