The Clinic of Addiction Medicine, 1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University and General Hospital offers outpatient and hospitalized patients using the services of a rehabilitation doctor, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and group fitness exercises. The program is focused on the individual needs of patients, supporting self-sufficiency, self-confidence and improving the quality of life.

Entering the program

• The possibility of ordering is only for existing patients of the Clinic of Addiction and after completing an initial assessment by an addiction specialist on the premises of the Clinic of Addiction (Apolinářská 4, Prague 2).
• Please book your first meeting by phone (224 968 208) or by e-mail (adambulance@vfn.cz). Due to ongoing consultations, the answering machine is on, if you leave a message and phone number, we will call you.
• We recommend that the person who wants to be treated places the order. Client orders placed by a third party are usually inefficient.
• After completing the initial session, the addiction specialist consults with the client about the current condition, the client's needs, and the appropriate treatment procedure (i.e. acceptance into our care and determination of specific interventions, or recommendation of another facility/type of treatment).
• If the care is appropriate, the addiction specialist orders the client for an initial examination by a rehabilitation physician.

Fitness exercises

Group exercises for beginners to intermediate level are conducted with outpatients in the gym at the Addiction Clinic, focusing on strengthening the core on mats or at individual stations in the form of circuit training in combination with rubber bands, body weight and dumbbells. Group lessons are concluded with a final stretch.
