3. 10. In the footsteps of the construction of the VFN complex - meeting at 13:30 in front of the main entrance to the VFN
In the footsteps of the 18th and 19th centuries - the establishment of the main complex, the Provincial Maternity Hospital near Apolinář and the Institute for the Mentally Ill, which Josef II wanted to establish, with a stop in the hidden Catherine's Garden with hospital staff.
3. 10. Tour of Prager's central boiler room - meeting at 10:00 am, Wenzigova 2, Prague 2
The unique technical building of the architect Karel Prager, which supplies heat to our hospital, is in its original state, except for the replaced boiler technologies. This futuristic building with a high chimney from 1993 is the only completed part of Prager's extensive project for the new campus of the university hospital. You will be able to see the interior of the brutalist building, the old control room, functional boilers or, for example, the external gallery.
