As part of World Glaucoma Week (March 13-18, 2023), VFN specialists are offering free intraocular pressure measurements to the public.
Glaucoma (green cloud) is a disease in which the optic nerve is gradually damaged. About 350,000 people are treated with it in the Czech Republic. Glaucoma is dangerous because it initially develops completely without symptoms. A signal that you are at risk of developing glaucoma is increased intraocular pressure. Specialists from the VFN Ophthalmology Clinic and the 1st Faculty of Medicine of the UK are trying to spread awareness among the public about this incurable disease and the possibilities of how to protect your eyesight. As part of World Glaucoma Week, they therefore offer free preventive intraocular pressure testing to those interested. The event will take place on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, between 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. in the general outpatient clinic of the VFN Eye Clinic and the 1st Faculty of Medicine, UK, pavilion A6, A, ground floor. Those interested can come without an appointment.
